Katie Price to become effigy…

Model Katie Price has been unveiled as the inspiration for a celebrity guy which will be burnt at the stake at a bonfire celebration.

The 27ft firework-filled effigy is complete with a replica of her generous cleavage.

It will go up in flames in front of more than 10,000 people in Edenbridge, Kent, on Saturday.

Dressed in a pink, low-cut top, the figure also features the 31-year-old wearing white jodhpurs and riding boots in acknowledgement of her passion for horses.

In one hand, she holds copies of OK!, Hello! and The Sun and in the other she grasps by their hair the heads of ex-husband Peter Andre and current flame, cagefighter Alex Reid.

Each year organisers at the Edenbridge Bonfire Society choose a topical, publicly vilified celebrity figure to torch at the popular event. Other years have seen Saddam Hussein, John McCririck and John Prescott.

Pattinson & Stewart caught kissing at screening?….

pattinson & stewart

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s bid to end reports about their secret romance has taken a turn for the worst – the couple was spotted kissing outside a screening of their Twilight sequel.

The two stars reportedly spent the night together at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel last week – before breakfasting and attending a screening of The Twilight Saga: New Moon nearby.

And that’s when things started heating up, according to UsMagazine.com.

A source tells the publication, “Rob wanted a cigarette so he went outside with Kristen for about 15 minutes. They were hugging, as Rob was smoking his cigarette, and then he leaned down and kissed her on the lips. He had his arm around her almost the whole time.”

The new story comes just days after an upcoming Pattinson Vanity Fair magazine article, in which he insisted the two stars were just “friends”, hit the Internet.

England stars net movie premiere….

Rio Ferdinand

England footballers Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole have left the pitch to attend the premiere of a Brit gangster film the pair produced.

Manchester United defender Ferdinand put up the money for Dead Man Running, starring his friend Tamer Hassan who grew up on the same Peckham estate in south London.

But Ferdinand’s involvement in the film, which was screened in London, was on one condition – that 15 work placements were found for disadvantaged youngsters he supports through the Rio Ferdinand Live the Dream Foundation.

He said: “We’re in the credit crunch so getting the children some work was the main element for me when I spoke to the director.

“I said: ‘Can you please make sure the children get a chance?’ Now they’re going to be involved in future projects so it’s going to be a win win situation for everybody involved.”

Co-producer and Chelsea defender Ashley Cole, who is used to seeing wife Cheryl Cole in the limelight, admitted he was less comfortable with the attention himself.

Cole said: “I never thought I’d see my name in the credits of a film… but I’m not counting this, it’s only small writing on the poster.”

Veteran actress Brenda Blethyn, who has appeared in everything from Shakespeare to Jane Austen adaptations and worked with stars from Brad Pitt to Keira Knightley, said a film produced by footballers was a first for her.

She said: “It made no difference to the way the film was made, it just meant that it got made at all and I’m grateful to them for that. How’s that for a hat-trick for you?”

Robbie to get lifetime Brit award….

Robbie Williams

Pop star Robbie Williams will receive the outstanding contribution to music prize at next year’s Brit Awards.

The 35-year-old has already won 11 Brits as a solo artist – more than any other singer.

Ged Doherty of the Brits committee praised Williams, saying he was “one of the outstanding artists and performers of his generation”.

Williams won his first Brit award as a member of Take That, when Could It Be Magic was named best single in 1993.

‘Absolute thrill’

The group went on to scoop three more trophies before Williams quit in 1995.

The star then carved out a successful solo career with hit singles such as Angels, She’s The One and Rock DJ.

He has won four the best British male prize four times.

My Doherty said it will be “an absolute thrill” to have Williams at the 30th anniversary of the Brit award show.

The star has recently made a comeback, appearing on the X Factor last weekend, and playing his first UK concert for three years as part of the BBC Electric Proms on Wednesday.

His exuberant X Factor performance was heavily criticised in the press, but writing on his blog after the Proms show, Williams said: “I wasn’t aware until last night that the X Factor performance was given such an horrendous kicking.”

He went on to praise the “lovely audience” at Wednesday night’s concert.

“I know listening to new stuff can be a bit of a bore, but everyone was lovely and received it with kind hearts and consideration, so thank you very much,” he wrote.

The gig broke records when it was beamed live to more than 250 cinemas in 23 countries across Europe, from Latvia to Luxembourg – but Williams claimed to know nothing about the achievement.

“I kind of heard it being mentioned but I think selective hearing must have been in action at the time,” he said.

Previous recipients of the outstanding achievement award include The Pet Shop Boys, Paul McCartney, Oasis and The Who.

Danni Minogue

Dannii Minogue is to switch on the Harrods Christmas lights.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of classic movie The Wizard Of Oz, the X Factor judge will transform the world-famous department store into the Emerald City, with Harrods chairman Mohamed Al-Fayed.

“The Wizard Of Oz is one of my favourite movies so I will click my heels together three times and see you there,” said Dannii, who will be flicking the switch at 5pm on October 29.

As part of its Wizard Of Oz Christmas season, Harrods is helping to raise £300,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity to fund three bedrooms in the new kidney unit.

Miley Cyrus: I don’t miss Twitter

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has insisted she doesn’t have any regrets about quitting Twitter.

The Hannah Montana star deleted her account earlier this month despite being one of microblogging site’s most popular celebs, with more than 1.1 million followers, and later explained it was because she wanted some sort of “normal” private life.

And according to Access Hollywood, the 16-year-old actress and singer told America’s Johnjay And Rich radio show: “I really haven’t missed it.”

The Disney star continued: “I thought I was going to miss it a lot more than I do, but I haven’t even really looked at other people’s, which is really weird.

“I don’t really miss it. It’s kind of odd.”

Miley’s words will disappoint her fans, who started a campaign to get her to return to the social networking site after her departure.

Panto!

The pair, who are boyfriend and girlfriend in real life, will take their chemistry to the stage when they star as Snow White and Prince Charming at Bristol’s Hippodrome this Christmas.

The couple met in EastEnders, where they played siblings Dawn Swann and Mickey Miller.

Joe left the soap in July 2008 and Kara made her exit in August this year, when Dawn sailed off into the sunset with Gary Hobbs.

Of her panto role, Kara told The Sun: “It’ll be strange to work together again but we’re looking forward to it.

Minogue discusses Cole relationship….

cheryl & dannii

Dannii Minogue has opened up about her relationship with her The X Factor co-star Cheryl Cole, admitting they aren’t close friends after all.

The pair has repeatedly brushed off reports of a rivalry and put on a united front by posing for snaps together, but the Australian pop star has revealed she and Cole only chat about superficial “girlie” matters.

And Minogue insists she never asks her colleague about her personal life, including her marriage to Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole.

She tells OK! magazine, “I wouldn’t say we talk about personal stuff, just girlie stuff like clothes and boys and men. There’s a lot written about her personal life, which I would never ask her about. It’s her business.

“If she wanted to speak to me about that then fair enough, but I would never sit her down and bring it up.”

Their relationship was said to have improved after Minogue landed a £250,000 pay rise, putting her on equal level with Cole, although the duo never became close.

But the 38 year old has praised the Girls Aloud star for sticking by her last year when she was attacked by the press for her on-air spats with fellow panellist Louis Walsh.

She adds, “When I was going through bad times, she was very good, she would always come and see me to see how I was, but no one ever saw that – that’s the way she is and how she handles it.”

Andre releases statement on affair claim….

Peter Andre

Peter Andre has responded to allegations that he had an affair with his manager Claire Powell when he was still with Katie Price.

The glamour model said in a recent interview with Now magazine that she felt like she was in a relationship with “two people” during her marriage to the popstar.

“It was like Pete was married to two women, Claire and me. And it just suffocated me,” she said. “If I’m going to blame anyone for the end of my relationship with Pete, I’d have to lay some of the blame with Claire.”

Responding to the Price’s comments, Andre said: “I am making this statement to put the record straight regarding the outrageous claims and lies that have been put into the public domain by my ex-wife about my relationship with my manager Claire Powell.

“I wish to make it perfectly clear for the record that my manager Claire Powell, who I have known for the past 16 years, is my manager and a personal friend. She has never betrayed me or done anything other than support me, which is more than can be said for my ex-wife.

“I have said once before that if anybody slanders my name I will not hesitate in taking legal action and that is exactly what both Claire and I will do.”

Price is rumoured to have accused Andre of sleeping with Powell during a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show.
