Am really looking forward to this film, not only coz Peter Jackson is a brilliant director and the trailers look immense, but also coz one of the actors comes from my home town. Reece Ritchie (above) recently got his Hollywood debut in 10000 BC, and has been cast as Ray Singh in Peter Jacksons new film.

Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson’s new movie The Lovely Bones has been chosen for this year’s Royal Film Performance.

Jackson said he is “honoured” it has been selected, adding its making has been “an extraordinary journey”.

The world charity gala is due to take place in late November in London’s Leicester Square.

The movie, based on Alice Sebold’s best-selling book, stars Susan Sarandon and Rachel Weisz.

It has not yet been announced which members of the Royal Family and cast will attend the premiere.

Last year’s Royal Film Performance had to be changed after the release date of Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince was postponed.

British movie A Bunch of Amateurs was screened in its place.All money raised from the gala goes to The Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF), which helps families connected to the film and TV industry who are facing financial difficulties.

Jackson added: “On behalf of everyone involved, we are thrilled that members of the Royal Family and the CTBF audience will be amongst the first people in the world to see it.”
