Me, Myself and Ibuprofen!

So, the remaining 7 hopefuls have performed and we are now all Queened Out! Here is my (very concise) review:
Jamie, Radio Gaga: Love this guy, great opening to the show. Freddie will be dancing in his grave! Great showman. Hewis Rating:

Lloyd, Crazy little thing called love: Pissed me off from the start when he said that he didn’t know who Queen were because he wasn’t born til the 90’s. WTF, if I was born yesterday I’d still know who Queen was, MUPPET! Performance was meh! Dislike him more than Jedward. Hewis Rating:

Olly, Don’t Stop Me Now: Still my fave, though was slightly out of tune, which you don’t expect from Olly. But a great lively song choice for a lively essex boy! Really think he could be the next Robbie! Hewis Rating:

Joe, Somebody to love: There is no denying he has a good voice, and I think he bats for the other team. Though I stick by what I have said in previous weeks. I wouldn’t buy his records, would you? Hewis Rating:

John & Edward, Under Pressure/Ice Ice Baby: I’m actually warming to these two! I thought it was a good performance, and for the majority of the song they were in tune! But what is up with X Factor security, that someone managed to get onto the stage??? Hewis Rating:

(My highest Jedward rating so far!)
Stacey, Who wants to live forever?: Think it was my favourite performance of the night. Thought she looked and sounded stunning. Essex REPRESENTS!!!!!!!!! Hewis Rating:

Danyl, We are the champions: Watched the whole performance with a grimace on my face, there were parts of the performance when I was like ‘This guy is really good’, but most of it I was like ‘That was WRONG!’. Hewis Rating:

Hmmm, an interesting night, some great performances, including Jedward, a random member of the audience on stage, great songs from an amazing band! I’m looking forward to the results show tomorrow, especially the performance from Shakira!
Nomination for MBE: Mr Simon Cowell, stand up, and kneel down and be knighted…Sir Cowell!
Prediction for tomorrow: Lloyd HAS to go, but who will be joining him? Maybe Jamie, but like I said last week hopefully not!
Seperated at Birth:

So, what did you think?
Two great performances from two great groups that are poles apart. First up was Bon Jovi with a great rendition of their new song, they really showed X Factor how to sing live. Next up was JLS, and for some strange reason there was a slight feeling of pride seeing the ‘fab-four’ up on stage, knowing that my votes last year contributed ever so minutely to them being where they are now! Their new song ‘Everybody in Love’ is very catchy, and I would be suprised if they are not the ones to knock Cheryl off of the top spot when it is released.
Next up is the results and I have to say that I’m not suprised with the bottom two this week. It is obvious that a section of the public like ‘Jedward’, although they must all hide-out together, as no-one ever admits to voting for them. Lloyd is OK but he is not great, and the only thing keeping him in is his looks, and the fact that he was in the bottom 2 this week tells us that looks can’t get you to the final. When it comes down to Rachel, I am not suprised she was in the bottom 2 as people are not voting for her, she has an amazing voice, last night was her best performance and one of the best performances of the night, but at the end of the day there are other people in the competition with great voices and bigger personalities, everyone has to leave the competition and tonight was her night!
Man of the Match: This accolade has to go to Simon Cowell, every week his comments get funnier and funnier. I love the banter between the judges, it is half the fun of the show, so those of you that are moaning about it taking over the show, would you rather this panel or the Strictly panel?YAWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking forward to next week already!!!!!!!

Wow, what a show, we have seen the 11 hopefulls perform this week, now for my (very concise) review:
Lucie Jones – How Will I Know: Again a great start to the show, great voice, but not sure if she has that X Factor. Hewis Rating:

Olly Murs – Fool in Love: Once more Essex boy done good, he’s got the voice, he’s got the moves and he’s got the style. Rapidly becoming one of my favourites. Hewis Rating:

Miss Frank – All the man that I need: Just when I was starting to think that a girl group might do well in this competition and then this happens. Utter catastrophe! Hewis Rating:

Rachel Adedeji – If I were a boy: Picked herself up after being in the bottom two last week, and gave one of the best performances of the night! Top notch! Hewis Rating:

Danyl Johnson – I Didn’t Know My Own Strength: Rapidly losing interest in this guy, I don’t deny that todays performance was good, but I find myself nervous watching him. Hewis Rating:

Lloyd – Bleeding Love: The dark horse of the night. When I found out the song he was singing I cringed, but he gave a great version of it! He is this years Eoghan! Hewis Rating:

John & Edward – Oops I did it again!: The worry is that people are starting to find these two entertaining and will vote to keep them again to see what they are gonna do next, thus someone else will undeservedly leave. We shall see tomorrow! Hewis Rating:

Rikki Loney – R.E.S.P.E.C.T: I don’t agree with Simon on this one, I thought this was a great version of the song, he looked a lot better with his smoother style tonight, keep the hat off!!! Hewis Rating:

Joe – Where do broken hearts go?: I have the same opinion as last week, he has a great voice, looks like a pop star (Gareth Gates style) but I wouldn’t buy his album! Hewis Rating:

Jamie Archer - Hurt: I think this guy is soon to take over from Danyl as my favourite in the competition. I love his style, and love his music! Hewis Rating:

Stacey Solomon - At Last: Love this girl, though worried she is becoming a parody of herself! The song was great, she done a real nice job of it. Simon was right, she didnt look comfortable in the dress. Hewis Rating:

Elimination Prediction: Unfortunately for Louis but I think Miss Frank will be leaving us tomorrow, and I think joining them in the bottom two could be Rikki.
Dark Horse: As I mentioned earlier, Lloyd shocked me tonight, he took a very hard song and made it his own! Not a great singer but the girls are gonna love him. Good on yer mate!
Judge of the Week: This has to go to Mr Simon Cowell for some fantastic song choices this week! Also not afraid to tell Chezza Cole that she had made the wrong choices!
Stay tuned for tomorrows review of the results show, which will see an exclusive performance from Whitney Houston, and our very own Cheryl Cole performing her new song ‘Live’!!!

I went to see Avenue Q with my Dad last night, for the second time, and it was just as good as the first time, if not bettter!
I decided to play my ‘Im a tour guide give me some free tickets’ card and I managed to get top price tickets for £20, GOOD TIMES! Having moved fromthe Wyndhams Theatre to the Gielgud Theatre it is still pulling in big crowds and for a Wednesday night it was suprisingly full. The theatre is beautiful, if not a little confusing as the Dress Circle is on street level, the stalls being underground. Our seats were great, offering a clear view of the stage with no big-heads in the way.

Production: ‘Disco Inferno’ by Justin Sepple. Musical arrangements by Brett Foster & Jim Coyle.
Director: David Bowman
Musical Director: Mike Benyon
Choreographer: Fay McWilliams
Assistant Director: Rebecca Sims
Being an SMP ‘veteran’, I was jealous that I was unable to take part in ‘Disco Inferno’. When this show was first pitched to the group, I knew that it had the recipe to be a great success, with a funky list of 70’s songs, a great storyline, and the opportunity to build some great characters, and I can tell you that SMP didn’t dissapoint. By the end of the performance I was glad that I wasn’t in the show as I had the priveledge of being in the audience for what was definately one of SMP’s best productions in recent years.
