Robbie confirms Take That reunion…

Take That

Pop star Robbie Williams has said there are plans for him to perform with Take That again some time in the future.

When asked by Jonathan Ross whether he would be working with the band, Williams said: “Yes I hope so.”

The 35-year-old, who is a guest on Ross’s Friday night chat show this week, said: “We’ve got together, done bits and bobs. I can’t say much.”

The singer also performed his new single You Know Me and one of his biggest hits, the 2002 song Feel.

Three new tracks were also recorded for red button viewers.

‘Traumatic’

The star, who has just launched his comeback after a three year hiatus, revealed why he stopped performing live for a while.

“The decision was made for me, I’ve always been very nervous,” he said.

“You don’t know what’s going on in my head. It’s traumatic, really scary. I ended up in rehab again, it was ‘what are you doing to yourself?’ I thought it’s time to break the cycle.”

Williams talked about his girlfriend Ayda Field and said he thought he was “going to be a bachelor” until he met her.

“I was introduced to Ayda and things just changed. She’s a wonderful person and I’m in love. She’s really broody and I’m getting there,” he said.

The singer will reportedly be streaming his new album, Reality Killed The Video Star, on the free music website Spotify a few days before its official release on 9 November.

Comedian Jimmy Carr and tennis champion Serena Williams will also appear on the show, which starts at 2235 GMT on BBC One.

Robbie to get lifetime Brit award….

Robbie Williams

Pop star Robbie Williams will receive the outstanding contribution to music prize at next year’s Brit Awards.

The 35-year-old has already won 11 Brits as a solo artist – more than any other singer.

Ged Doherty of the Brits committee praised Williams, saying he was “one of the outstanding artists and performers of his generation”.

Williams won his first Brit award as a member of Take That, when Could It Be Magic was named best single in 1993.

‘Absolute thrill’

The group went on to scoop three more trophies before Williams quit in 1995.

The star then carved out a successful solo career with hit singles such as Angels, She’s The One and Rock DJ.

He has won four the best British male prize four times.

My Doherty said it will be “an absolute thrill” to have Williams at the 30th anniversary of the Brit award show.

The star has recently made a comeback, appearing on the X Factor last weekend, and playing his first UK concert for three years as part of the BBC Electric Proms on Wednesday.

His exuberant X Factor performance was heavily criticised in the press, but writing on his blog after the Proms show, Williams said: “I wasn’t aware until last night that the X Factor performance was given such an horrendous kicking.”

He went on to praise the “lovely audience” at Wednesday night’s concert.

“I know listening to new stuff can be a bit of a bore, but everyone was lovely and received it with kind hearts and consideration, so thank you very much,” he wrote.

The gig broke records when it was beamed live to more than 250 cinemas in 23 countries across Europe, from Latvia to Luxembourg – but Williams claimed to know nothing about the achievement.

“I kind of heard it being mentioned but I think selective hearing must have been in action at the time,” he said.

Previous recipients of the outstanding achievement award include The Pet Shop Boys, Paul McCartney, Oasis and The Who.

Robbie Williams on coffee high….

Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams has said he was high on coffee and fear during his X Factor performance.

Robbie Williams has said he was high on coffee and fear during his X Factor performance.

The former Take That man told the Daily Mirror he suffered from a combination of nerves and too much caffeine in the X Factor canteen before his performance of latest single Bodies.

“It’s the same as the deer in the headlights, the deer’s not high on anything other than fear,” he said.

Robbie added that he didn’t feel as confident as in the past.

He said: “I didn’t feel like the seasoned pro I am. It felt a bit alien. I maybe should’ve done a few other shows before the big one.”

However, things are now looking up for Robbie – he is the latest artist to be confirmed to play at the MTV Europe Music Awards and his latest single Bodies is his fastest-selling since Rock DJ.

Writing on his blog, he said: “Wow, what a result… In this day and age that’s absolutely amazing… I’m floored.”

Robbie Williams has performed his first full concert for three years and shocked fans by backing cocky X Factor contestants the Grimes twins to win the show.

The former Take That singer performed to a sell-out crowd to open this year’s BBC Electric Proms.

Williams opened the show at north London’s trendy Roundhouse venue with new single Bodies and said: “You nearly made me cry then, but then I realised it’s not The X Factor.”

Williams, who appeared on the ITV1 show earlier this month, revealed he was a fan of twins John and Edward Grimes.

“Go for the twins,” he told the crowd, who responded with deafening boos.

But he insisted: “John and Edward all the way.”

The gig was watched by celebrities including radio DJ Fearne Cotton and singer Will Young.

Later the cheeky singer appeared to hold back tears as he revealed his hit Feel was his auntie’s favourite song, saying: “I’m sure she’s looking down now.”

But he then deadpanned: “She’s not dead – she’s just condescending!”

Tuesday’s performance also set a world record for the most simultaneous cinematic screenings of a live concert. The show was screened in more than 250 cinemas across 23 countries, meaning ten s of thousands of the singer’s fans across Europe watched the show as it happened.

X Factor, Week 1 Results Show – A Review….

X Factor

Sooooooooooooo, what did you think of the 1st ever X Factor Results show? I loved it! At first I was pissed that you had to wait a whole extra day to find out which one of the hopefuls would be going home. But after seeing tonights spectacular I think Mr Cowell has made a great decision.

First of all you had the group performance, it started off badly, extremely badly. Danyl found a note that hasn’t even been invented yet, the twins looked like they had just tried red bull for the first time, and I’ve got a feeling is really not suited to the majority of their voices. However it picked up and by the end of it we were all singing along with them. It also gave us a chance to see the gang singing without the pressure of the judges comments!

Then we had two superb performances from 2 MASSIVE stars. The first coming in the form of Miss Alexandra Burke, who really turned the heat up, much needed in this cold weather and rising utility bills! I didn’t like the song when I first heard it, but it has grown on me and I can say that I am looking forward to hearing her album. The second came in the form of Mr Robbie Williams, a come back that it well overdue. I am glad that he has got himself together and put his UFO spotting days behind him. The song was good but not great, it will take more than that to get him to the top of the charts, but it is a start and I know we are gonna see much much more from him.

Then came the results!!!! I feel like the right people were in the bottom 2 (Obviously with the exception of the ommitance of John & Edward, but we know they are gonna stay in for a few weeks for the cringe factor). Kandy Rain, are awful, just a group of stippers out at a karaoke night. And Rachel had the wrong song, if she had sung the song she sung tonight yesterday, she wouldnt have been in the bottom two. I think it was wrong to assume that Louis would have saved his own group, although he would have, Danni & Cheryl made the right choices, and Simon was just being a dick! However in the end, justice prevailed and the right act was sent home, as per my prediction yesterday.

I am SERIOUSLY looking forward to next weeks show, as soon as I hear news about the songs I will be posting them up here! AND ALSO….. as I told you earlier in the week, we have WHITNEY HOUSTON giving us her first live performance on UK tv in 12 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
